WarofNations.com is the sole owner of the information collected on WarofNations.com. WarofNations.com collects information from our users at several different points on our Web site.

Registration

In order to use this Web site, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give a valid email address. We use this information to verify that the user is not attempting to gain an unfair advantage by registering multiple accounts automatically in his/her name.

Information Use

Profile

We store information that we collect through cookies, log files, and/or third parties to create a profile of our users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that details their viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information is tied to the users personally identifiable information to provide offers and improve the content of the site for the user. This profile is used to tailor a user's visit to our Web site. We do not share your profile with other third parties.

For this session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. War of Nations also places a persistent cookie on the user's machine. This cookie identifies the player and is used to prevent illegitimate entry into other user's accounts. This cookie may be removed by the player if he/she so desires - such action will not prevent the full functionality of the War of Nations service. This cookie is intended to safeguard player accounts and has no intended consequence of harmful activity or data collection.

Users are required to set a session ID cookie on our site, because cookies are an integral part of our site’s authentication system.

Log Files

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our Web-based service.

In addition, this Web site records all player activities within the game space. Account Activation

We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username, and that the e-mail address they have provided is in fact a valid e-mail address.

Service Announcements

On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. We reserve the right to send an e-mail to our users if, for instance, our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance.
